Fener and Balat - Istanbul

We decided that we would try to explore as much as possible within our short visit to Istanbul. We did almost 20 km on foot the last day, since this is the only way to explore the city and find interesting motifs for photography. For our last day in Istanbul, we headed out to the urban districts of Fener and Balat, which are full of history, but less known to tourists. The streets are full of old, wooden buildings and churches from the Byzantine period. After the fall of Constantinople, many Greek came to live here, which can be seen even today.
